From 1 January 2022, Van Zutven Group will have a new product line in its range; ultra-fine ground lime, sourced from Dutch drinking water companies, both GMP and FSSC22000. 

In the Netherlands, we have the best drinking water in the world, which is made by the Dutch water companies. In this process, lime is extracted from the drinking water and converted into lime pellets. Van Zutven Trading and Van Zutven Processing trade and process the unground and ground lime streams.

Circular

The big difference from the currently common lime in the market, is circularity. Lime from a lime quarry is considered a fossil source, with drinking water lime circulating. In addition, the processing of the grains at Van Zutven can be called very sustainable; they are processed using solar energy. In addition, transport kilometres are drastically reduced by processing Dutch lime in the Netherlands as well, instead of collecting lime from Germany, France and Italy.
